Hatch or linetype is 25 times bigger/smaller on one computer

May 10, 2003

Written by Allan, 10 May 2003

Applies to:

  • AutoCAD 2000+

Problem:

In drawing 1 I use scale 1 and the hatch looks good. In drawing 2 I have to use scale 25 to make it look like the hatch on drawing 1.

Reason:

The MEASUREMENT variable is probably set differently. This variable controls whether AutoCAD uses ISO Metric (1) or Imperial Inches (0) hatch and linetype definition files. These files are ACAD.lin/ACADISO.lin and ACAD.pat/ACADISO.pat.
