- File > Export > CAD Formats
- AutoCAD 2007 DWG files (*.dwg) See Note 1
- AutoCAD 2004 DWG files (*.dwg)
- AutoCAD 2000 DWG files (*.dwg)
- AutoCAD 2007 DXF files (*.dxf)
- AutoCAD 2004 DXF files (*.dxf)
- AutoCAD 2000 DXF files (*.dxf)
- Microstation DGN files (*.dgn)
- ACIS SAT Files (*.sat)
Note 1: AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP compatiable formats can be exported by changing the export options.
- File > Export > Walkthrough (Exports your premade walk throughs of the model)
- AVI Files (*.avi)
- JPEG (*.jpg)
- TIFF (*.tif)
- BMP (*.bmp)
- GIF (*.gif)
- PNG (*.png)
- File > Export > ODBC Database
- ODBC is a general export tool that works in conjunction with many software drivers. Revit Structure has been tested with the following ODBC drivers:
- Microsoft® Access
- Microsoft® Excel
- Microsoft® SQL Server
- Revit Structure may be able to work with other ODBC drivers, depending on the features supported by the driver. If you need assistance with a particular software driver, contact your local IT department or Autodesk Product Support.
- ODBC is a general export tool that works in conjunction with many software drivers. Revit Structure has been tested with the following ODBC drivers:
- File > Export > Schedule
- Delimited text (*.txt)
- File > Export > Image
- Export selected views to JPEG, BMP, PNG, TARGA or TIFF formats
- File > Export > gbXML
- The gbXML (green building XML) open schema was created to help building designers gather information about the energy consumption characteristics of building projects. To perform energy analysis for a project, you can export the project to gbXML. Then use the resulting gbXML file with a third-party analysis software application that calculates the loads for your building project. For more information, go to http://www.gbxml.org/.
- File > Export > IFC
- IFC 2×2 (*.ifc)
- IFC 2×3 (*.ifc)
- IFC BCA ePlan Check (*.ifc)
The Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) file format was developed by the International Alliance of Interoperability (IAI). IFC provides an interoperability solution between different software applications. The format has established, international standards to import and export building objects and their properties. For more information about the IFC file format, visit http://www.iai-international.org
External Tools (Plug-ins):
The following export option plugs into to Revit when you install Autodesk NavisWorks. Download the demo version from www.autodesk.com, install it, and the plug-in will appear in Revit.
- Tools > External Tools > Navisworks 2009
- Navisworks NWC (*.NWC) (Navisworks CAD format file)
