Freelancer.com describes itself as the world’s largest freelancing, outsourcing, and crowdsourcing marketplace for small business. For the drafter this means you can hire or find contract work in the CAD / BIM related industries. I have noticed the bulk of the work available is Architectural in nature. But there are also many projects in other disciplines, such as structural, civil, mechanical and building services.
Hiring people and finding work for yourself, on this website, are the obvious ways to make money. There are also two other ways you can make money from Freelancer.com. These will be discussed in detail later.
Freelancer.com statistics at 10th December 2013:
- Users: 9,588,418
- Projects posted: US$1,312,410,377
- Projects: 5,213,311
A good size marketplace. So next question: How do we drafters make cash with them?
